7. Use of Mailchimp in sending newsletters
The newsletter is sent using “MailChimp”, a newsletter delivery platform from the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in this information, are stored on MailChimp's servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. Furthermore, MailChimp can, according to its own information, use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the dispatch and presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them ourselves or to pass them on to third parties. MailChimp's privacy policy can be found here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy

The newsletters contain a so-called “web beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from MailChimp’s server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information is initially collected, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their access locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our nor MailChimp's intention to monitor individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

8.  Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and that your browser saves. They serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies also enable our systems to recognize your browser and offer you services. Cookies do not contain any personal data. However, it may be possible for a cookie to be associated with a specific user record. Our website uses cookies exclusively in an automated manner. We do not trace cookies back to user profiles in order to derive benefits for the user beyond the above-mentioned advantages or to gain personal insights. You have the option to refuse cookies or to set your browser to notify you each time our website attempts to set a cookie. However, this may mean that certain services on our website cannot be used or can only be used to a limited extent. Further information about cookies (including instructions on how to block them) can be found, for example, at http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ge/

9. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

10.  Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
We use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. Google Conversion Tracking is a Google analysis service. If you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking will be stored on your computer. These cookies have a limited validity, do not contain any personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. There is therefore no possibility that cookies can be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Here, customers find out the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not want to take part in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.   Further information and Google's privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

11. Google DoubleClick
We use Google's DoubleClick function on our website to evaluate the use of the website and to enable us, Google and other advertisers who work with DoubleClick to present you user-relevant advertising. For this purpose, a cookie is installed on your computer's hard drive. This cookie is used to assign a pseudonymous identification number to your browser and to collect information about the advertising displayed in your browser and how it was accessed. The information collected by the cookie about your use of websites is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Based on the information collected, interest-relevant categories are assigned to your browser. These categories are used to place interest-based advertising. In addition to changing your browser settings, you can also permanently deactivate the DoubleClick cookie using a browser plug-in. With the plug-in, your deactivation settings for this browser are retained, even if you delete all cookies. You can obtain the browser plug-in for permanent deactivation here: (https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996). By using our website, you agree that the DoubleClick cookie will be used and that your usage data will be collected, stored and used in the manner described above for the stated purpose. You also agree that your data will be stored in cookies beyond the end of the browser session and can, for example, be accessed again the next time you visit websites. You can revoke this consent at any time with future effect by deleting the DoubleClick cookie and permanently deactivating it.
